Vassal Organized Play 2021

In the video, I talk about upcoming events for Vassal Organized Play.

SW: Armada, Vassal WC 2021, Swiss r4 GK vs Dreadlordloki

 

The final swiss game, vs Dreadlordloki who had a Romodi ISD+Onager list. Similar yet different from mine.

It ended in a narrow 5-6 defeat for me.

It was a very good game, with lots of exciting maneuvers. My squad game left a lot to be desired, however.

I forgot to make a log of this game - but turns out my opponent did!

So I made a new recording based on that.

Round 3 of the Swiss went rather better than r2!

9-2 for me vs Armchairjedi.

Forgot to log this game, so this is a simulation... sorry about that 😅

Good news: Armchair made a log! So I'll be revisiting this game shortly.

Round 2 didn't go so well... played poorly and was unwilling to disengage when I should have.

10-1 to the Ewoks! Pretty sure the Emperor's finest legion felt the same way after Endor :-D

Taking a look at the 7 lists I MIGHT face (the 8s and the 7s).

A great deal of diversity in factions, commanders, and composition.

Cracking that Starhawk is never easy. But I got it!

Ended with an 8-3 MoV 200 win for me.

Vassal WC 2021, POD game vs Goerrit

 

My 3rdWorld Cup POD game, vs Goerrit's "Jerry Quasar Rhymer-Rogue stay-away while I bomb" list.

Since we were both already qualified for Swiss (for all practical purposes) I decided not to castle when he chose 1st and Asteroids. Instead, I wanted to see if I could catch him. I didn't, but it was way less boring than castling!

Ended with a 4-7 loss for me.
