VASSAL OP Q3 2021 Escalation tournament

Announcing the "Escalation tournament," a new VASSAL Organized Play event!

Format

4 rounds Swiss.

(most likely there will be only 1 common time grouping but if there are many players I might split the event)

Schedule

Key dates:

• Signup/fleet submission deadline: Wednesday, 22nd September. 
• Round 1 starts Friday, 24th September.
• Round 4 ends in late October/early November.

Listbuilding restrictions/rules tweaks

Standard Armada rules, with the following exceptions:

• Escalation games: 300/400/500/600 points
• Custom commanders
• The ability for ships and unique squadrons to become veterans.

Changelog:

• No fleet point cost for veterancy.
• Command 4 ships banned from start.
